Eyefinity & Surround VRAM utiliser

Vous vous demandez combien de mémoire sur votre carte video il vous faut, pour pleinnement profité des graphique à fond ? Voici un gars qui à fait le teste avec sont pc à base de GTX 580 3GB sur 3 écran 30''

I know that most people aren't running @ 8100x1600 or have 3x30" monitors so hopefully someone with 3x1080p can help out people looking for VRAM usage at 5760x1080 or whatever. But at least this gives you an idea, and shows that over 1.5GB VRAM will be used at high resolutions and settings.

It plays smooth as churned butter with extreme settings. Absolutely impressive. Next lets move on to one of my personal favorite games to just romp around in and cause chaos. Just Cause 2:

This surprised the hell out of me with it's appetite for VRAM. It was using nearly 2GB most of the time I was goofing around. Still ran very smooth though. Next up is Mafia II.

This is one game that didn't really benefit at all from the added VRAM. As you can see it's only using about 1GB. Now I'm sure I can push that way higher by forcing higher AA modes through the Nvidia control panel but this test was done all using in game settings to give a better baseline for you guys to look at. Next up is the VRAM monster Metro 2033...stand back this one is huge......

Look at that, 2.3GB eaten up by a single game and this game put a huge strain on the cards. You can see it drops below 30fps and it's really still not playable with 4xMSAA. To get it to be playable I have to drop down to AAA and the frame rate improves to mid 40's and VRAM usage drops to about 1.9GB. Still a huge improvement as I wasn't even able to use max settings with my GTX480's at this resolution due to them only having 1.5GB.

This game always impresses my with it's slick visuals and is a hoot to play. A rally sim it is not, and that's OK with me! This game runs and looks so good it's hard to not be impressed by it. I'm going to do some more tests with some of the bigger tucks and buggies a bit later. But for no let's move on to Stalker COP.

Now please note this was done with in game settings and no mods. I'm quite sure I can push that a lot higher with some of the texture mods and other mods for this game, but in keeping with my original post I wanted to keep it as the developers intended it and only use stock settings and max in game quality options. Evens till you can see the game has an appetite that requires about 1.6 - 1.7GB VRAM before mods and only modest AA levels
